KINGDOMS Day 4 - Epic FLAIL!
High atop a snowy hill lies door number 4.
A knight with a flail! Sweet - I am particularly fond of his style of helmet. Reminds me of the style worn by Sir Bedivere in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
It looks like a LEGO massacre! But really I just haven't built the guy yet.
Ta-da! And look, another bonus weapon! Hooray! Double flail!
All my KINGDOMS sets nice and lined up... Looking good, guys! Looking goood!
CITY Day 4 - Mysteries blow!
Here comes day number 4! I'm going to open up... THE MOON!
It's a ... something? Maybe a snowblower? I think that's what it is supposed to be... maybe it will help me know when I build it...
Still a bunch of pieces, and no more certain what the design is supposed to be...
Fully constructed and... yeah still not sure! I think that snowblower is the most likely guess, however, I notice at the back underneath what looks like a handle there is a connector piece... maybe it is going to attach to something else? Or maybe it is just some kind of Danish snowblower design that I am unfamiliar with over here in Canada...
Well, here we are after 4 days! All the sets together - I have a feeling that this set is going to get crowded shortly!

Leftovers Part 1
One of the things I love about LEGO is that generally, they tend to pack in a couple of extra pieces here and there into their sets. They are usually small little pieces that might often get lost. Or they are small unique pieces that are otherwise uncommon.
Between the two sets, I have accumulated... this many pieces after three days. I have GREAT plans for these excess pieces! Oh yes, just you wait and see!

KINGDOMS Day 3 - Racking in the presents!
What lies in store for door number 3? The picture implies maybe... the spire to a roof? Or a catapult?
Nope! It's a knight's weapon rack.
Axe! Spear! Shield! Other things!
The pieces are assembled to form a mighty rack! Notice how in the original diagram it suggested that the shield go off to the right side, whereas I have opted to place the shield in a central position. This is the type of LEGO prowess gained only from many years of experience. A much nicer balance between the objects, and it seems all the more regal!
The set grows larger! And notice the manly tea pot lurking underneath, jealous of all of the LEGO advent calendar attention! Maybe if you are lucky, teapot, there will be a LEGO version of you waiting in one of the CITY doors...
CITY Day 3 - Board with traditional winter skating...
Time for a blurry Day 3 photo! Right up in the top right corner.
Why, it's the traditional winter activity of skateboarding! No, not ice skating or snow boarding, but skateboarding! But I suppose it is fair enough that probably a good number of children ask for skateboards for Christmas.
The pieces are strewn about, as well as yesterday's spare red hat off to the side.
Ta-da! A skateboard and little piece of sidewalk/ramp to skate on! An extra set of wheels... those will have to be kept for later!
Safety first! It is important to wear your helmet while skateboarding with two swords in your hands!
SNOWMAN-OLLIE-TO-NOSESLIDE! AMAZING!
At last, I settle on just having the kid stand on the skateboard. And yes, I removed the helmet and gave him back his red hat. The helmet can be seen resting on the street.

KINGDOMS Day 2 - The medieval anvil-lage people!
Atop the portcullis lies door number 2 in the Kingdom! I wonder what lies inside?
But of course! An anvil and flame for yesterday's blacksmith!
Here's the package of LEGO bits.
MORE SWORDS!?!? (see CITY Day 2 post...)
Seeing that Smithy (the natural name for a blacksmith) already has his hands full with TWO hammers, it is time for him to temper the sword on the anvil - I bet he plays a mean rendition of carol of the bells too!
With the extra bits I received from this set, I built myself an additional little flame...thingy... not sure what it is really. But it seemed to fit!
The KINGDOMS winter scene grows!
CITY Day 2 - This Christmas will be a slice!
Here we are at Day 2 with the CITY themed calendar, and just above the front car of the red monorail you can see the door for the day!
Opening up the door, we can see today's prize is a little boy wielding a sword - seems like something that might seem more at home in the KINGDOMS advent calendar... no worries!
Here's the package, ready and waiting to be opened and built.
I spill the pieces onto the display surface - two hats and three swords!? Is there a three armed, two headed LEGO minifig waiting for me somewhere?
No, only one head and two arms... I decided to give the boy two swords - as it is the second day of Christmas. This leaves a sword and a hat leftover. I don't know what to do with the hat, but I have a good idea of what to do with the sword...
... Frosty has an empty hand, and I'm sure he'd appreciate being able to defend himself with more than just a broom!
Now the boy can play sword fighting with the snowman! We'll just have to wait and see what becomes of the extra LEGO hat though...
And here is the full view of the LEGO City advent scene after day 2. Can't wait for tomorrow morning!
