KINGDOMS Day 23 - Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire

 
Second last medieval day - also taking photos with the new phone's camera

It's... a blurry mess!  But it's supposed to be some kind of medieval oven/cooking table...thing...

Ah, the low light settings seems to have improved picture quality.

It is sooo amazing that the apple fell off of Good Sir Knight's head!

Also - looks like I messed up again and forgot the group shot!  I had best not forget tomorrow, as it is the last day for opening the calendars!

KINGDOMS Day 22 - Owl Yourself An Aerie Little Christmas

Who's so funny Mr. Jester that you can't stop laughing?

Oh! The owl is funny! That's whoo!

No, don't shoot the owl Crossbowman!

Ah, now the owl has a nice little shrubbery to perch upon.

Or maybe the owl is a pet of the maiden?  They seem to get along.

Insert group shot here... yeah I forgot to take one on this day for the Kingdoms Calendar... :S I am really slipping as the month goes on!

KINGDOMS Day 20 - You Better Duck and Cover, I'm Telling You Why - Catapults are Shelling Your Town

Aw, look at the soldiers having fun skating on the castle moat!
 

Ooh! Bring in the heavy artillery!  A catapult.

It is worth mentioning the little "Do Not Harm Others" image in the bottom left corner of the door.  If I were the guy in the image though, I'd be more concerned with the red line bisected my head than the small black projectile embedded in me.
 

Looks like it has ample ammo!

Ready to deliver... uh, presents! Yes, presents over enemy walls!

The soldier is ready to give the order... FIRE!

KINGDOMS Day 18 - A Sharp and A-peel-ing Reveal

Once again, my apologies for the delay in posting the pics of the Day 18 opening in the Kingdom.

But as you can see, not much was missed here - another Kinder surprise level build...

An apple. A pot.  And two knives.  The extent of the construction - or deconstruction rather - is merely pulling the knives apart from their tether.

Oh look! The apple and knife, together at last!

Looks like the maiden is looking to fix herself up some apple slices! Yum!
 

And so 18 days in, we are now 75 percent done the calendar.

KINGDOMS Day 17 - Brew-dolph The Red Nosed Rein-beer

What's hiding behind that window? What is that 17 not telling us?

Ah, a nice healthy beverage!  It's not the first day of Christmas yet, but I'm sure Bob and Doug would still be pleased!

Quickly, before any spills out onto the snow!

Ah, the keg is safe!

And now, time for the Good Sir Knight to console himself with a brew, after his many failed adventures...

KINGDOMS Day 16 - 8 Maidens Flirting

OPEN THE GATE! NUMBER 16 IS NOW EXITING THE CASTLE!

Alright, alright, no need to yell, 'Narration-From-First-Image' - it's only a maiden.

This maiden is a wreck - she has completely fallen apart!

Ah much better - and she passes every one of the LEGO female criteria I set on Day 6, as well as the added point from Day 7.

Oh, she has stumbled upon our Good Sir Knight, still lying on the ground after his spar with the training dummy!

She calls to him with an offer to help him up.

And with an outstretched arm, she helps the Good Sir Knight back on his feet.

Do we possibly have a match made in LEGO heaven here?

Oh no! Looks like she was more impressed with the training dummy's fighting calibre!

Well, to the victor go the spoils! Another sad defeat for the Good Sir Knight.

 

 The whole scene now after 16 days - will the Good Sir Knight ever get his comeuppance?
